[UPDATE: Beau Thai has moved and is now located at 1550 7th St. NW. The location may be new but the food is still just as great as it was before!]
Yum, Yum, Yum! It’s time to eat!
And where will we be eating today, my dears? Beau Thai [1700 New Jersey Ave NW]!
Yup, that’s right. We’re eating Thai.
Voted the best Thai restaurant in DC by City Paper readers, Beau Thai offers savory plates fit for the hungriest and pickiest eater. And the best part is, it’s walking distance from my house!
With my dad, I visited Beau Thai on a Sunday afternoon. The weather was lovely, so we opted to sit outside. Our cheery waiter served us without delay and pretty soon our table was covered in the most delicious food, Pad Se Ew, Pineapple Fried Rice and Shrimp Cake. All seasoned to perfection, slightly oily, and made with the most tender meats and seafood. My father and I were in a heaven of Asian cuisine
We were upset that our stomachs weren’t large enough to eat more. So we vowed to return as soon as possible.
And of course we will!
[OK, so I know you are probably thinking, “Why didn’t she take any pictures of the food?” Well, it’s because I didn’t know this was going to be a post until after I realized the food was so good. And once I started eating, I couldn’t stop. I mean, the food was just so good. So…you’ll just have to take my word for it. And the next time I visit, I’ll be sure to grab a few images of the food before I dig in.]
